Originating in 1994 as the Chicago Carp Classic and fished on the banks of the Downtown Chicago River this hotly contested but friendly, one day tournament became known as the CAG Carp Classic as it moved locations.
Individual anglers compete for: North American Champion (Big 4), North American Carp King (Big Fish) & Overall Total Weight Winner. Prizes are also awarded for the first carp landed as well as the smallest. The Tournament is usually preceded by a fish-in at a non tournament venue and a Dinner Award Ceremony after the CCC event.
